Objective

The Web3 Digital Asset Innovations ETI aims to provide investors a well-diversified Web3 and Decentralized Finance (DeFi) exposure by investing in liquid crypto assets that capture the value generated by emerging decentralized business models.

Investment Strategy

The investment strategy is built on two pillars:

1. Fundamental research on technology, token economics, product-market fit, protocol traction, team etc. determines what Web3 & DeFi assets are selected. The selected assets are then continuously monitored.
2. Active Management: The exposure in the selected assets as well as the timing of exposure changes are determined based on a combination of quantitative price momentum strategies & onchain data analytics.

Depending on the market phase (risk-on/risk-off) the portfolio allocation may differ considerably to reduce volatility. In risk-off markets, the portfolio will be predominantly in cash, bitcoin and/or in lowest-risk assets while in risk-on market phases, the portfolio will be overweight in the selected Web3 assets.

In general, the ETI can invest in any asset that is traded on the used Tier 1 brokers Coinbase Prime, Kraken and Crypto Finance. The portfolio will however not comprise more than 20 assets at any given point in time.

Staking is used selectively for assets that are held for longer periods to generate additional yield.

Excluded Assets:  Privacy Coins (i.e. Monero, Zcash) are excluded from the list of eligible assets.
